When my wife (girlfriend at the time, obviously) and I decided to get married, we thought it would be fun to elope. I was 18 and she was 20.
It was a great idea, and I’m pretty sure we weren’t ever going to tell anyone that we were married.
And then we got pregnant. Ok, technically she was pregnant, but I was the one with the cravings. Yeah I know, it’s the whole “I contributed too” thing from the man. Like Jim Gaffigan says, “yeah, you contributed too, for 60 seconds, doing the one thing you think about constantly.”
So now we were young, pregnant, and married. But nobody actually knew we were married.
This didn’t fly with her mom.
